Jennie Stuart Health in Hopkinsville recently opened an expansion of its emergency room, offering improved services when you need them most.
Rahkeem Francis, who has served as the Emergency Department Director for the last six months, told Your News Edge this project was a 16,000-square-foot addition to the hospital.
Francis added that Jennie Stuart Health has been working to adjust its staffing to best serve the needs of the region.
Additionally, there has been a leadership change in the last six months concerning the emergency department and some new equipment has been brought in.
Francis commended his staff and the hard work they put in each day.
Francis said while additional parking spaces have been restored and visible signs of construction outside the hospital will begin to cease, internal renovations will continue, as Jennie Stuart Health will soon welcome patients to a new waiting room. The full expansion of the former ER space should be completed by the summer.
