A traffic stop on US 68 in Cadiz led to a Wisconsin man and woman being charged after a foot pursuit Tuesday night.
Cadiz Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Elizabeth Waldron and the passenger 32-year-old Jacob Walters got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
After a search of the vehicle, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were reportedly found.
Waldron was taken to the hospital for chest pains before she was arrested and charged with speeding, possession of marijuana, improper registration plate, failure to maintain required insurance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police say Walters was later located after someone called in reporting a man walking on US 68 and trying to flag down a motorist.
Walters reportedly suffered multiple lacerations to his face, arms, hands, and feet, consistent with running through the woods in the dark.
He was arrested and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, alcohol intoxication in a public place, and possession of marijuana.
