A Hopkinsville woman has won $90,000 on a Kentucky Lottery Scratch-off ticket.
Reshawn Toliver was at Skyline Fuel in Christian County earlier this month, when she bought five of the $5 Wild Cash Multiplier Scratch-off tickets.
She was at home when she scratched them, as her son and boyfriend relaxed in the other room from eating a big lunch.
On the last ticket, she revealed three “7” symbols on Game 2, and by matching three identical symbols in the same game, players win the prize shown for that game.
Toliver told lottery officials that she figured it was going to be another $5 win. She said she even rolled her eyes in frustration when she saw the combination.
Instead, it was the game’s top prize, and she screamed — noting she’d never hollered so loud before, and it caused her son and boyfriend to check and see if she was okay.
Lost for a minute, she calmed down to breathe, but in the next minute couldn’t stop laughing, and even now she can hear the scream over and over in her head.
Earlier this March, she drove to lottery headquarters, where she received after taxes a check for $64,800.
Toliver also shared that she had been wanting to quit her job and find something else. Winning the Lottery afforded the opportunity.
For selling the winning ticket, Skyline Fuel will receive $900.
