A Hopkinsville man was charged after he allegedly barricaded himself inside of a building after a traffic stop on Calvin Drive Saturday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a truck driven by 38-year-old Artavious Irvin for his license plate not being illuminated and he accelerated and quickly pulled into a parking spot.
He then reportedly got out of the vehicle, would not comply with the officer’s demands, and fled into a building barricading himself inside.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police and license plate not illuminated.
