Ouida Foster, 96, of Hopkinsville, died at 4:50 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2024, at the Christian Health Center.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bobby Spurling officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from noon until the funeral hour at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Hughart, Beard, & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Big Rock, TN she was born August 16, 1927, the daughter of the late Harmon Rorie and Ruby Cato Rorie. She owned and operated Tag Sales by Ouida for over fifty years. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Pennyrile Doll Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denton Foster, and her three brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include her son: Mike (Marilyn) Foster of Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter: Pat (Steven) Sunderland of Hopkinsville, KY; her sisters: Peggy (Don) Noel of Hopkinsville, KY, and Marilyn Fly of Brentwood, TN; her grandchildren: Lee Veazey, Grant (Angela) Veazey, Lincoln (Katherine) Foster, Elizabeth Foster, Erin (Troy) Ware, Tori (Brock) Bennett, Zack (Taylor) Sunderland, Josh (Courtney) Sunderland, and Ben (Allyssa) Sunderland; her great-grandchildren: Tyler Veazey, Davis Veazey, Wade Foster, Hudson Veazey, Caroline Foster, Rhett Foster, Rachel Ware, Eli Ware, Zeeke Sunderland, Micah Sunderland, Isaac Sunderland, and Etta Bennett; and her great-great grandchild: Malcolm Veazey.
