The City of Hopkinsville is applying for an Urban Development Action Grant to help the Ambulance Board following an unexpected string of issues. At Tuesday night’s meeting, the City Council voted to apply for the $500,000 loan.
Ward 4 Councilman, Chuck Crabtree asked Mayor JR Knight to expand on the need for the loan.

Meanwhile, Mayor Knight invited the public to the renaming of East 21st Street on Thursday at 1 pm. The road will be named to honor Bill Flynn, whose company Flynn Enterprises, once spanned both sides of the road and still exists at the corner of 21st and Walnut Street today.
Ward 10 Councilman Steve Keel invited everyone to the Dog Park on Saturday at 11 for a community event with the Police Department, who will be doing a K-9 demonstration.
