A Clarksville man has been charged after he led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit in Christian County Friday afternoon.
Kentucky State Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Stephon Northington on Fort Campbell Boulevard in the area of Stewart Lumber Company and he fled at a high rate of speed.
The pursuit came to an end in a field off of US 68 near the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Way.
Northington was taken into custody and charged with speeding, first-degree fleeing or evading police, third-degree criminal mischief, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, and several traffic violations.
Kentucky State Police were assisted by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office and the Hopkinsville Police Department.
