Voters in the city of Hopkinsville have the chance to narrow down the field of Hopkinsville City Council candidates during today’s primary election.
In addition to primary races for President on the Democrat and Republican tickets, there are races in the city council on both the Democrat and Republican tickets.
On the Republican side of the ballot, there will be city council runoffs in Ward 1 between Natasha Sophia Francis and Vance Smith, Ward 4 between Chuck Crabtree and Faye Hendricks, Ward 5 with Amy Craig and Shannon Trogden, Ward 7 featuring Mark Graham and Clayton Sumner, Ward 9 with Jamie Lienberger and Brittanie Bogard, Ward 10 between Michael Velez and Steve Keel, and 12 featuring Elizabeth Draude and Matthew Handy.
On the Democratic side of the Hopkinsville City Council races in Ward 9 Ardell Glenn Owens, Angelique Victor, and Monike Love will square off, with the winner to face the republican nominee in the general election. In Ward 10 Angelita Atkins and Andra Gold will compete for the chance to face the Republican nominee in November.
