Funeral services for 89-year-old Emma Mae Brown, of Fairview, Tennessee, will be 1 PM Tuesday, May 28, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 AM until the funeral hour.
Survivors include:
Her son, Greg Brown, of Land O’Lake, Florida;
Her daughter, Lisa Brown (Leah), of Fairview, Tennessee;
Her sister, Alice Wade, of Madisonville;
And her god-granddaughter, Kennesha “Nicci” Walker.
She died Tuesday, May 21, 2024, after a long battle with dementia.
She was born on January 15, 1935, in Springfield, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Tom Barker and Mary Virginia Walton Carpenter.
She worked as a patient tech at Western State Hospital and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coy L. Brown; her son, Michael L. Brown in 2019; her sisters, Clara Erikson and Tommye Thomas Bouchard; her granddaughter, Christie Brown Litchfield; her god-grandson, Kenneth Michael Buford; and her lifelong best friend, Wilma Francies.
