A Hopkinsville woman was charged with criminal abuse of a child after an investigation on Waddell Circle Saturday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the home to check on a child and found the child had marks all over his body and was skinny to the point that his rib cage was showing.
An ambulance was called to take the child to the hospital due to his condition and the mother 31-year-old Alicia Yocham police say claimed she had only had the child for 2 months and she was not to blame for his condition.
There were reportedly five other children in the home but they did not appear to be in the same condition. Yocham was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 years old or under.
