A Hopkinsville man was charged with possession of drugs after a report of loud music on West 13th Street Monday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the area for loud music and while talking with 36-year-old Samuel Dediosrosas he dropped a bag containing suspected meth out of his pocket.

He was reportedly found to have a large amount of money on him and he claimed the drugs must have been slipped into his pocket by two other people that were at his home.

He was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).
