A Hopkinsville man was charged with fleeing from law enforcement during a warrant arrest on East 1st Street Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop 46-year-old Kenneth Thornton for active warrants for failure to appear and contempt of court and he fled in his vehicle going through a parking lot before coming to a stop on North Elm Street.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, improper turning, and failure to or improper signal.
