Hickman County’s Katie Abernathy was the only golfer to put a red number on the board at Wednesday’s Trigg County Invitational at Boots Randolph Golf Course.
Abernathy shot a 1-under 70 to finish two shots ahead of University Heights Academy’s Conlee Lindsey and four shots ahead of Murray’s Macy Saylor and Daviess County’s Claire Reynolds.
Abernathy began her day with seven straight pars and birdied the par 3 eighth hole and went out with a 1-under 35.
She opened the back nine with a bogey then rallied to birdie two holes and come in with an even-par 35.
Daviess County took the team title with a score of 333. Murray was second with a team score of 344.
