Responsible for the general collection and disposal of commercial/residential refuse and solid waste within the City of Hopkinsville.
Ensure collection, transportation, and disposal of waste materials at the landfill and transfer station at HSWE. Careful observance for hazardous or questionable items for disposal is needed to ensure compliance with EPA standards. Will be assigned a route to complete in a timely and efficient matter. Frequent interaction with customers is necessary to ensure quality customer service is provided and ensure any complaint is addressed. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. CDL license is required. Also, requires sufficient strength to perform strenuous physical outside labor for extended periods even during adverse weather conditions. M-F 6:00am-2:30pm shift schedule. Some Saturday’s required. Pay rate is based on experience and position has progressively higher levels of responsibility with additional pay increases included.
