A home on Golden Pond Avenue in Oak Grove was destroyed in a fire Thursday afternoon.
Oak Grove Firefighters say they were called for a fire on the porch and found the home fully engulfed in flames.
An Oak Grove Police Officer Brad Martin was reportedly able to get one person out of the home who was inside when he arrived.
Firefighters say the family’s cat has not been located adding the cause of the fire is under investigation.
A man who was also inside the home at the time of the fire was taken by ambulance to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation.
Oak Grove Firefighters were assisted by Hopkinsville EMS, Fort Campbell EMS, Oak Grove Police, Fort Campbell Fire investigators, Fort Campbell Fire Department, and Pembroke Fire Department.
