It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Susan Shaw. Linda passed away on August 7, 2024, at her home in Crofton, surrounded by family who loves her.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Linda was a dedicated mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. With her Christianity religion, The Lord was her guide and refuge in her life. Her devotion to him led many of her family members to find The Lord. Linda, who was known to most people as Susan, lived a long and fulfilled life. Susan graduated from Titusville High School and worked in a career in Pharmacy, where she retired from. In 1972, She married the love of her life, Shaun Shaw, who she shares 2 beautiful children with. Susan shared many interests and hobbies in her time. She loved the beach, and being outside. She was always interested in seeing new places and traveled to many of them. Yard sales would catch her eye a mile away, and soon she had her children and grandchildren always searching the newspaper for weekend yard sales. She was an active volunteer at the Salvation Army, always putting other’s needs before her own.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Thelma Juanita Brown & Thomas Durwood Brown, and her son, Christopher Aaron Shaw.
She is survived by her husband: Shaun Shaw; her daughters: Julia Shaw and Melissa Thompson; her step-children: Shawn Shaw, Jr. and Shane Shaw; her brothers: Thomas Brown Jr. (Debbie) and William Brown; her grandchildren: Mica Shaw, Devin Shaw, Zack Morris, Zanah Shepherd (Brian), Lillie-Alex Arndell (Ian), and Wyatt-Randall Buck (Gabby); and her great-grandchildren: Chance, Nason, Kayden, Levi, Abby, Zoey, Charlee, Zoe.
