During Thursday’s Team Kentucky update, Governor Andy Beshear announced that over 4,000 Kentuckians are expected to receive skills training through a Bluegrass State Skills Corporation grant, including nearly 200 workers at Novelis in Todd County.
According to the Governor, the funding will support the training of 197 employees at the Guthrie aluminum manufacturer.

However, he noted they have received valuable assistance to provide this essential training.

He concluded by saying the grant has given Novelis a great start on an exciting future in Kentucky.
Governor Beshear announced that in fiscal year 2024, the Bluegrass State Skills Corporation approved approximately $19 million for training over 42,600 workers at 104 Kentucky facilities, the highest since 2016.
