Fourth ‘Hoptown Idol’ Looking For Local Talent

hoptown-idol-1

For the fourth straight year, Hoptown Idol is back on the calendar to celebrate and showcase homegrown talent and entertainment on the Founder’s Square stage.

Video entries for the singing contest are currently being accepted here for one winner to take home $500 cash and a two-hour recording session at ARC Exhibit Studios in Hopkinsville.

These entries will be accepted until September 9, and four qualifiers will be chosen from those submissions.

Beginning at 5 PM, 15 open mic spots will be available on a first-come basis for a live audition on the night of the event, where four additional qualifiers will be chosen. The eight finalists will compete for a spot in the final sing-off, where one winner will receive this grand prize.

Crowd participation is factored into final judging, so qualifiers and hopefuls are encouraged to bring friends and family for support.

Dinner and drinks from well-loved local vendors like Palate Junkies, G’s BBQ, Nathan’s Famous, Kona Ice, Casey Jones Distillery, and Forsque Inc. will be available during the event. The music and karaoke services will be provided by House Party Karaoke.
