A threat posted online has led to heightened security at several schools in Christian County Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they are aware of a threat that has been circulating on social media involving Christian County schools and security has been heightened.
School district spokeswoman Johnna Brown says after further investigation it has been determined that there was no credible threat and all schools have been deemed safe, and we will continue to operate on a normal schedule.
Brown says “The district takes all threats seriously, and any threat will not be tolerated. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and staff. ”
She added any individual found making a threat will face serious consequences in accordance with district policies and local law enforcement procedures.
