A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting his wife during an argument on Lee Lane Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for a disturbance and talked to 38-year-old Nicholas Forristall’s wife, who stated he had choked her to the point she passed out.
Forristall reportedly told police she had woken him up by striking him in the face for no apparent reason. Police say his wife had marks from the assault, but Forristall had no marks or injuries.
He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault and first-degree strangulation.
