A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting a police officer after a wreck on Walnut Street Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 32-year-old Shawn Cardwell got angry with officers after they explained to him there were no cameras in the immediate area and tried to walk away when he was told to put his hands behind his back.
He reportedly continued cursing and yelling while walking away and pushed an officer into a window before being arrested.
He is charged with menacing, third-degree assault of a police officer, second-degree disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
