A Cadiz woman was charged with drug possession while dropping off her child at school in Trigg County Tuesday morning.
Cadiz Police say 39-year-old Ansley Embry drove up on the curb at the school and was found to have a suspended license after talking with law enforcement.
She reportedly consented to a search of her vehicle, and a plastic container with a white powder, and a smoking pipe along with her credit card were found inside.
Police say two more pipes and other drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle. The white powder was sent to a Kentucky State Police lab for testing.
Embry was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, driving on a DUI-suspended license, no registration receipt, and no registration plates.
