Clarksville Woman Charged With Trafficking Drugs

A Clarksville woman was charged with trafficking drugs and DUI after a traffic stop on Interstate 24 in Christian County Saturday night.

Kentucky State Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Tinitra Kelly for speeding 20 over the limit and no tail lamps.

She reportedly failed to stop right away and but slowed down and tossed something out the window that she later claimed was her drink.

Police say she stayed on the phone and called someone to come to the traffic stop who demanded to get things out of the SUV, then left when the trooper tried to talk with her.

A bottle of pills believed to be oxycodone was reprotedly found in the vehicle.

She was arrested and charged with trafficking opiates, DUI, speeding, criminal littering, reckless driving, and no tail lamps.
