Following an online contest at wkdzradio.com that received numerous suggestions, the name of Trigg County’s Big Pig will be revealed Thursday at the Trigg County Country Ham Festival kickoff breakfast.
Doors to the breakfast will open at 6:00 Thursday at the Trigg County Recreation Complex Convention Center, with the program to begin around 7:00. Trigg County Tourism Director Beth Sumner says the name chosen for Trigg County’s big pig will be revealed Thursday morning.

click to download audioThe first big was funded by Planters Bank, with idea originating with a conversation between Hancock’s Neighborhood Market owner Mallory Lawrence and Tourism Director Beth Sumner, who was serving as Trigg County Chamber Membership Director at the time.
