Funeral services for 90-year-old Clarice Johnson Carpenter, of Pembroke, will be 1 PM Saturday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the New Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 AM until the funeral hour.
Survivors include:
Her daughters, Susan Holman of Franklin, Tennessee, Kathy Chandler, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and Janet Brockwell (Randy) of Richmond;
Five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She died of natural causes Monday, October 7, 2024, at Telford Terrace in Richmond.
She was born February 27, 1934, in Christian County, the daughter of late Ellis W. and Martha Susan Baker Johnson.
She was retired from Jennie Stuart Medical Center, and was a founding member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Gerald Carpenter, in 2011; her brothers, John Frank, William “Bill” and Lloyd Johnson; her sisters, Alberta Jones and Opal Meacham; and a great grandson.
