John Brame, the commander of VFW Post 1913 and chairman of the war memorial commission has been named the grand marshal of this year’s Hopkinsville HES energynet Christmas Parade.
Brame is a Hopkinsville native and Christian County High School graduate who served in the U.S. Army, including a tour in Vietnam. Brame has dedicated years to honoring veterans and supporting the Hopkinsville community.
The annual Christmas parade will be on Saturday, December 14 at 5:15 with the theme “Let There Be Peace.”
According to the Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department, floats, vehicles, musical bands, golf carts, and more are welcome to enter the parade for an entry fee of $20 and a new toy donation.
Entry forms can be picked up and submitted at the Thomas Street Recreation Center.
