A Cadiz man was charged with assaulting his girlfriend and firing a shot on Bush Road in Trigg County Wednesday morning.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called for 50-year-old James Oliver, who had punched a woman and then slammed her head into a barn before firing a shot.
Oliver reportedly fled the area after firing the gun and was located by Hopkinsville Police in Hopkinsville.
He is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and fourth-degree assault.
