A Herndon man was charged with possession of drugs and fleeing from law enforcement after a traffic stop in Trigg County on US 68 Monday afternoon.
Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says he attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Andy Looney for going 48 mph over the speed limit and he failed to stop.
Looney reportedly cut off vehicles at a high rate of speed before pulling over.
Acree says Looney was arrested after a field sobriety test and was found to have meth, scales, marijuana, a loaded shotgun, and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle.
He is charged with possession of meth, trafficking marijuana, trafficking meth, DUI, speeding, second-degree fleeing or evading police, and reckless driving.
