Hazel Ezell, age 83, of Cadiz, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Princeton Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born on July 24, 1941, in Marshall County, Kentucky, to the late Jesse and Laura Coomer Holley.
Hazel worked at Elk Brand Mfg., where she contributed many valuable years of service before retiring.
She was a longtime member of Rock Front Baptist Church. She had an incredible gift for drawing and painting, loved music, and found joy in playing the piano. Hazel most cherished her role as “Granny” to her family and spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, L.J. “Junior” Holley.
She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Ronnie Ezell of Cadiz; her children, Tammy Thomas (Roy Earl), Steven Ezell (Crystal), and James Martin (Angie), all of Cadiz; six grandchildren, Justin Thomas (Amanda), Matt Thomas (Rachel), Derek Martin (Julianna), Kevin Martin (Emily), Hunter Ezell, and Remington Ezell; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at Briensburg Cemetery, 892 Briensburg Rd, Benton, KY, at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, with Bro. Cody Choate officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz.
