With construction continuing at the new Christian County High School, District officials are looking to add back part of the original project scrapped due to costs early on. Thursday night, Assistant Superintendent Kevin Crider asked the School Board to advertise for bids for athletic facilities.
click to download audioThe construction is going well and Alliance Corporation’s Tim Geegan expects much of the $6 million contingency will be available to cover most of the cost of the fields. The Board voted to pursue the addition.
Geegan told the board, during his construction update, that the project is well underway with the four wings and main areas under roof.
He adds the crews are working diligently every day.

In other business, District Director of Finance Jessica Darnell says there are some concerns with the old Christian County Middle School demolition bids.
