James Thomas Quarles, 78, of Pembroke, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in Pembroke, Kentucky.
James, the son of the late Sylvester Quarles and Dorothy Holland, was born on January 3, 1947, in Christian Co. KY.
James was a First Street Baptist Church member and retired from Pop Fastener in the Maintenance Department after 40+ years. He was a U.S. ARMY Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, working on cars, and using his hands to build things. He was a member of the Vietnam Museum and Disabled Vets Organization.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie Quarles; son, Kevin T. (Heather) Quarles; brother, Everett Vinson Quarles; grandchildren, Christian Quarles, Savannah Moody, and Delilah McKinley.
Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Services will be at the First Street Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 12:30 pm.
Visitation will begin Tuesday at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
