Edward Earl “Baebae” Poindexter, 65, Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, in Hopkinsville.
Edward, the son of the late, Herman and Martha Poindexter, was born on October 22, 1959, in Hopkinsville.
At an early age, Edward joined Durrett Avenue Baptist Church and was a handyman in construction. He enjoyed riding his bike and listening to music and entertaining. He liked to help people when he could. He had a strong relationship with God.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia D. Poindexter.
Survivors include his daughter, Sha’Dymon Buckner; Siblings, Raymond (Renea) Poindexter, Linda (Rodney) Poindexter-Cottingham, Debra Jean Poindexter, Nellie Poindexter, Tamara Denise Poindexter, Birtis Carver (Kimberly) Poindexter; a host of nieces and nephews.
Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Gamble Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.
