Christian County 4-H and Kentucky Junior Cattleman’s Association member Sahara Peterson can purchase a heifer thanks to the Kentucky Cattleman’s Heifer Initiative.
Peterson received the award at the Kentucky Cattleman’s Association Convention in Owensboro Friday night. The Kentucky Heifer Initiative is sponsored by Farm Credit Mid-America, and FCMA’s Stephen Humphries presented the award to Peterson and two other recipients.
Sahara Peterson says she was excited to win the Heifer Initiative which will provide up to $2,000 to help her purchase a new heifer.
