A Maxton, North Carolina man was charged with drug possession in a motel in Oak Grove Saturday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they went to the Days Inn on Auburn Street in an attempt to locate a wanted person but did not locate the person. While at the motel, deputies say they talked with 32-year-old John Scott, who was staying in one of the rooms and could reportedly smell the odor of marijuana coming from the room.
Deputies say they were given consent to search the room and located cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
