
A Clarksville man was charged with trafficking in cocaine and other charges following a high-speed pursuit in Hopkinsville Monday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle on Fort Campbell Boulevard and the driver 40-year-old Christopher Winters fled reaching speeds around 90 mph before coming to a stop on East 9th Street at McLean Avenue.
Winters was taken into custody and police say suspected cocaine along with a large amount of money were found in the vehicle.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana, operating on a suspended or revoked license, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, and several traffic violations.
