Jesse Howard P’Pool, age 70, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.
He was born on March 21, 1954, in Cadiz, the son of the late Herbert and Dora E. Hargrove P’Pool.
On August 15, 1970, Jesse married the love of his life, Bonnie Huddleston P’Pool. He was a devoted husband and father to their son, a loving grandfather, great-grandfather, and shared a deep bond with his siblings.
For 46 years, Jesse dedicated his life to farming, working for Cundiff Farms where he was deeply connected to the land and knew the value of a hard day’s work.
Jesse had a passion for restoring old vehicles, was an avid knife collector, and enjoyed seeing the fruits of his labor in raising a tobacco crop. An enthusiastic hunter, he enjoyed the quiet thrill of squirrel and deer hunting, as well as the excitement of going out west for pheasant hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Donnie Hampton.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Huddleston P’Pool of Cadiz; his son, Ricky P’Pool (Shannon) of Cerulean; two grandchildren, Josh “Juice” P’Pool and Amber P’Pool; two great-grandchildren, Darren King and Carson Pilarski; his brother, Willie P’Pool (Patty) of Cadiz; his sister, Shelia G. P’Pool of Wallonia; brother-in-law, Larry Huddleston (Sherrie), and sisters-in-law, Connie Hampton and Sheila Hampton, all of Cadiz.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Monday, February 3, 2025. Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 4, 2025, with Scotty Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Wall Cemetery in Wallonia.
