With the recent school shooting in Antioch, Tennessee, officials at Chrisitan County Public Schools are evaluating safety procedures. The Christian County School Board received an update on school safety during its recent meeting.
School Safety and Title IX Coordinator, Kathleen Carter says in addition to the district’s trainings for staff and mandatory drills, the state and Kentucky Center for Safe Schools are conducting annual safety audits.

After board member Ambrea Watkins asked if there was a policy regarding setting the sensitivity of the detectors, Chairman Tom Bell suggested writing one.
