A Hopkinsville woman accused of striking and killing a man with her vehicle in Pembroke was indicted by the Christian County Grand Jury on Friday.
Eiesha Whitlock was issued a true bill on charges of second-degree manslaughter, along with leaving the scene of an accident and failing to provide aid or assistance in the event of death or serious physical injury.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies reported that on December 14, 2024, Whitlock struck 29-year-old Daquan Butler with her car in the parking lot of an apartment complex of Clara Drive after some kind of argument. Butler was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation led to Whitlock’s arrest a few hours after the incident.
