Charles Edward Hopson, 72, Hopkinsville, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in Christian County.
Charles, the son of the late George Hobson and Glodian Wimberly Waddell, was born on December 9, 1952, in Christian County.
Charles was a member of Edgefield Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching westerns, Gunsmoke was his favorite. He enjoyed his family, playing checkers, and listening to music. Also, he loved his Active Day Care Family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Emmett Wimberly; and brother, Arthur Wimberly.
Survivors include his siblings, Nelson Wimberly, Billy Wimberly, Ricky Wimberly, Sherile Johnson, Brenda Trice, Betty Wimberly, Bertha Wimberly, Gordon Waddell, Carolyn White, Jennifer (S.R. ) Hollowell, April (Guy) Brown, Clifford Hobson, Carl Hobson, and Zachary Mallory; Devoted family friends, Kenneth Prince, Jameron Brown, Georgia Dossy; a host of loving and caring nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at noon at Gamble Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Saturday morning at 10:00 at the funeral home.
