Funeral Services for 91-year-old Nell Nunn, of Gracey, will be 1 PM Tuesday, March 4, at Goodwin Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Trigg Memory Acres.
Visitation will be from 11 AM until the service hour.
Survivors include:
Daughter, Martha Cowan, of Gracey;
And a granddaughter, Beth Keaton (Garrett).
She died at 7:29 AM Friday, February 28, at Shady Lawn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cadiz.
Born on February 27, 1934, in Trigg County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of late James Allen Samsil and Estha Lillian Kennedy Samsil.
For several years, Nell was a familiar face at the Gracey Post Office, where she worked part-time.
A faithful member of Gracey West Union Baptist Church, she poured her heart into teaching Sunday school for many years.
She found joy in crocheting and also enjoyed working alongside her late husband to grow a bountiful vegetable garden. She most cherished her role as “Nanny” to her granddaughter and the time spent with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James H. Nunn; a brother, James Aaron Samsil; and two sisters, Margie Robertson and Betty Braboy.
