A request to check on a woman passed out in a vehicle led to drug charges for a Hopkinsville woman on Riverfront Drive Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they located 32-year-old Anjali Merritt slumped over the steering wheel with the vehicle running and could see a bag of suspected heroin in between her legs.
After a search of her vehicle, a handgun was also reportedly found in her purse.
Merritt was arrested and charged with trafficking heroin and public intoxication.
