Cindy Allen-Lax, a voice that has greeted Trigg County and neighboring residents for 30 years on the WKDZ Country Club, is stepping away from the microphone, though she’ll continue her work with the Edge Media Group.

During a Wednesday morning announcement, Allen-Lax expressed her readiness to take things a bit slower.

Allen-Lax is looking forward to ending her daily 70-mile commute but will maintain her work with business clients, assisting them with advertising.

Edge Media Group President Beth Mann said she has truly enjoyed the 31 years she has worked with Allen-Lax.

Though her successor remains unnamed, Mann emphasized WKDZ’s commitment to upholding the level of community passion that Allen-Lax demonstrated daily.

Allen-Lax’s last day on the WKDZ Country Club will be Friday morning, March 28th.
