There will be no services at this time for 74-year-old Linda Sue Riley Compton, of Cadiz.
Goodwin Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Two sons, Earl Compton, and Randall Compton (Tina), both of Cadiz;
A daughter, Kim Fountain (Ty), of Park Hill, Oklahoma;
Seven grandchildren, Chelsea McAndrews, Juanita Hood, Richard Compton, Brianna Compton, Moriah Compton, Alyssa Compton, and Ty Fountain, Jr.;
Six great-grandchildren, Adalynn Ferguson, Ray Lynn Parks, Harlynn Hood, Sadie Murphy, Cynch Murphy, and Winter Buckhorn;
And two sisters, Ina Blackburn, of Cadiz, and Brenda Hampton (Dennis), of Fairview.
She died at 11:12 AM, Thursday, March 13, 2025, at her home in Cadiz.
Born on September 13, 1950, in Princeton, she was the daughter of late Eura Fred Riley and the late Mary Janie Chambliss Riley.
For more than 25 years, she served as a Registered Nurse, committed to the care and well-being of others at St. Thomas Hospital, Jennie Stuart Medical Center, Western State Hospital, and the Kentucky State Penitentiary.
She found pleasure in reading and cherished the time spent visiting her family in Oklahoma. She was a loving mother and a proud Mamaw to seven grandchildren and Nemaw to six great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Clyde Oliver; her parents and her siblings, Grady Riley, Marlin Blackburn, Elberta Jackson, Lois Harris, and Sandra Riley.
