12th annual Christmas at the Bend

● As many as 200 youngsters and parents are expected to attend the 12th annual Christmas at the Bend event on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center in Hopkinsville. The event will take place from 11:00 am -1:00 pm, with focus on family fun through various activities.
● The 11:00 am -1:00 pm event, will entail refreshments to include homemade cookies, hot chocolate and hot apple cider. After partaking of the refreshments, families will have the opportunity to make Christmas Cards for Nursing Homes, interact with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, participate in recycling crafts, how to feed birds in the winter, play prize winning games for kids, and listen to firemen and police officers talk about safety, particularly during the holiday months.
●The event is sponsored by the Jeffers Bend Steering Committee, in cooperation with the Pennyrile Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Area Council, Inc., Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority, City of Hopkinsville, Attucks Class of 1965, Hopkinsville Business and Professional Women’s Club, Planters Bank, TGASK and Walmart Distribution Center.
● The low admission fee of $5.00 per car, $10.00 per bus up to 15 passengers. The entrance fee, covers all costs, except the photo with Santa in his workshop, which will be $5.00. In appreciation for the services of military families and first responders, entrance fee is free.

● In a big thanks to the Walmart Distribution Center, a “Expert 4-Burner Gas Grill” will be given through a drawing for the children and adults.
