April Giving is Always in Fashion Pop-Up Shop to Benefit Local Charities

An upscale consignment shopping experience presented by The Perfect Closet and the Pennyroyal Arts Council will benefit Grace and Mercy, The Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County and the Aaron McNeil House, Inc. starting this Saturday and running every Saturday in April from 10am-1pm at the former Miller’s Son store at 110 East Sixth Street.
Shoppers can expect to see a large inventory of gently used designer clothing, accessories, and handbags up to 95 percent off retail prices. Fifty percent of all sales will be donated to the shopper’s charity of choice.
Owner of The Perfect Closet Margaret Prim is celebrating 18 years of her fashion business and had the inspiration to pay it forward with this event as local nonprofit’s have faced financial hardships this past year.
“This is my 15th year for this charity event. The Perfect Closet has raised over $70,000 for local non-profits. I have been so fortunate to work with fantastic women in this community and paying it forward has always been the mission,” said Margaret Prim. “Several of my stylist friends from Nashville were so impressed with this fundraiser they drove up a van full of clothes to donate.”
Even if you don’t shop, you can still participate. Gift certificates will be available to purchase and may be given to residents and families of the charities of choice to boost their wardrobes for job interviews and hiring opportunities.
