CCSO- Paws & Claws Adoption Event

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is excited to announce that we have joined with local pet rescue agencies to host an all-in-one pet adoption event in October.
Agencies including the Christian County Animal Shelter, Max’s Hope, the Humane Society, Moving Mountains for Mastiffs, and Haven 12:10 Animal Sanctuary will be joining forces in the parking lot of the Christian County Sheriff’s Office on October 21st, from 10:00am-2:00pm to find homes for pets that have been released to their shelters at this year’s “Paws and Claws” adoption extravaganza!
One of the main benefits of this event will be bringing all of our local shelters to one location at the same time to showcase their pets that are currently up for adoption. According to national statistics, as of 2021, there are over 3,500 animal shelters in the U.S. Approximately 6.3 million companion animals enter U.S. shelters each year.
Currently, our local shelters have seen a rise in the number of animals brought to them, and we would all like to see them find good, suitable homes.
We are inviting the public to mark their calendars for October 21st, and bring your families down to see some of our local pets that are looking for their fur-ever homes! We will have a food truck, music and door prizes. Tickets for door prizes will be sold at each agency’s booth, $1.00/ each or 6 for $5.00, PLUS CCSO will be giving each person 18 or over ONE FREE TICKET just for showing up!
The Pet Lodge will be on site providing FREE nail clippings for pets, and the Christian County Animal Shelter will be offering micro-chipping for your pet for only $8.00! Really helpful if your pet ever goes missing. So, feel free to bring your furry friends, but please have them leashed up!
