Chamber Ribbon Cutting The Red Brick Inn

The Trigg County Chamber of Commerce is proud to host a Ribbon Cutting for their newest member,
The Red Brick Inn which will be held on Friday, August 25, 2022 at 11:30 a.m.
The Red Brick Inn is located in the historic Canton community at 500 Boyds Landing. The new
owners, Joey & Allison Ruff and Linda Justice, are excited to welcome guests to the Canton area. The old
Canton Hotel was built in the late 1700’s, early 1800’s by a man named Abraham Boyd. It was crafted to
be a hotel, and over its long life, it has been many things: a steamboat depot, a livery stable, a Civil War
hospital, a Prohibition-era Speakeasy, the county jail, a school for colored children, and the list goes on.
For the last several decades, it has served as a private residence, and the intent of the previous owner
was to turn it into a Bed & Breakfast. Thanks to the new owners, it will be operating as a bed and breakfast
and will offer fresh foods, great smelling soaps, delicious coffee, distillery tours, and plans for much more.
