As a science-based organization which cares deeply about the health of our communities, the American Heart Association has been closely following the guidance from the CDC and state and local health officials on the coronavirus (COVID-19). The health and safety of the community has been and will continue to be our top priority.
With that, we have decided that the best course is to remove the uncertainty for our participants and are excited to share that the Heart Walk will become a virtual event! That’s right, we’re still walking to raise funds for lifesaving research, support health and education initiatives in our community, improve the quality of care in our hospitals and advocate for healthy policies.
So wherever you are on June 13th, we invite you to lace up your shoes and WALK to ensure that funds are there for future medical advancements.
While this single-day event signifies so much for our community, we know that it takes a city to make an impact, and we cannot stop now. Heart & Stroke survivors will be counting on your support and commitment to help us raise funds and encourage participants to engage in new ways.
