Museums Re-opening June 9th!

The Museums are Reopening!
The Pennyroyal Area Museum, the Woody Winfree Fire-Transportation Museum, and The Vault gift shop will open by appointment on Tuesday, June 9, 2020. We are so excited to welcome you back – safely – to the museums.
The Museums are making every effort to ensure a healthy and fun environment. In an effort to provide a positive and safe experience, visitation will be limited to one household unit at a time. Appointment times will be 10am, 11:30am, 1pm, and 2:30pm and may be directly online through http://www.museumsofhopkinsville.org/re-opening-again/, may be requested through our website at http://www.museumsofhopkinsville.org/contact/, or by calling 270-887-4270.
What to expect when you visit:
Staff will wear cloth masks while interacting with guests.
Staff will have their temperature checked daily and will follow local and state recommendations if one exhibits a fever.
Staff will disinfect public areas to the best of our ability between scheduled guest visits. Logs of completed cleaning efforts will be posted in appropriate places.
Hand sanitizer will be provided for visitor use upon entry and at interactive exhibits. If possible, disposable options (like cotton swabs) will be available for guests to use to push buttons, flip panels, etc.
Visitors will be given an Exploration Kit when they arrive to allow them to engage fully with the exhibit while avoiding contact points.
Guests will be encouraged to use the restroom in the front of the gallery unless an accessible restroom is needed.
We encourage visitors to wear masks while in the museum.
The Museums will continue to produce engaging content on social media and will offer virtual programming throughout the summer for all ages.
