Spooky South Main Stroll

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County is in a morbid mood this October. Join us for a new Spooky South Main Stroll on Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28 to hear tragic stories of murder, suicide, and accidental death connected to some of our city’s most beautiful and historic houses. 
 
The houses along South Main Street stand witness to more than 100 years of history. In those decades, these homes have been the scene of the happiest – and the darkest – of days. On this tour, Museum Director Alissa Keller will relate some of the community’s most heartbreaking and haunting stories. 
 
The walking tour will cover approximately 1.25 miles and will last approximately 1.5 hours. Tours will begin at 6pm and 8pm. Each tour will be limited to 25 people. Tickets are $15 per person and $12 for Museum Members. Purchase tickets at the Pennyroyal Area Museum or online through Eventbrite.
 
Tours will start and end in the parking lot of First Baptist Church on the corner of Main & 16th streets. The lot stands next to the yellow house now occupied by Lee M. Harton’s law office. Parking is available in this lot.
